BACKGROUND

Adam has played guitar for 18yrs and bass for 14yrs. He went Music Industry Arts at Fanshawe College in London, ON where he graduated with a diploma. After Music Industry Arts, he attended Humber College for Design Foundation. In 2012, Adam was an intern at Lefthook Entertainment (now BREAK Entertainment) where he worked with Jay Levine (of Prözzak fame) and Catey Shaw.  

 

CENTRAAL 

 

In late 2016 Adam formed his own project with bassist Rob Frasca & drummer Andries Hannaart. The band played their first show - 'Rock Against Leukemia', a benefit concert, at The Hard Luck Bar in May of 2017. The band has played Cherry Cola's, The Horseshoe Tavern & Open Tuning Festival in Toronto. Early in 2018, drummer Andries moved out of the country. In summer of 2018, the band took on Tim Bacon as their full-time drummer. CENTRAAL has been steadily playing shows across Toronto ever since at venues like Handlebar, The Cavern, and The Piston. CENTRAAL is currently working towards releasing their debut EP – The All Roads EP.

NADJIWAN 

 

Marc Meriläinen of Nadjiwan was closely involved in The Soles switching from producer to part-time manager, and stand-in bassist. Adam started to work with Marc on different projects, assisting in the studio, and eventually was asked to play bass in Nadjiwan. In 2014 Adam recorded the single "Only After" which reached No. 1 on the North American Indigenous chart. He has played numerous cities all across Ontario with Nadjiwan. Nadjiwan's newest album "Tomahawk Rock" exclusively features Adam on bass. The album has now been nominated for Best Rock Album at 2019’s Indigenous Music Awards.

NEON RUST 

 

Adam was approached by award-winning producer, Harrison Fine, to play bass for his project Neon Rust in spring of 2018. With only a couple months of rehearsals, the band performed its first show at Pedestrian Sundays in Kensington Market and its second in Montreal shortly after. The band is currently working on its debut release.

THE SOLES

 

In 2012 Adam met lead singer, Dean Jalonen while working as a cashier at Winners. Originally tried out as a keyboardist and promptly switched to guitar, Adam quickly became a keystone to The Soles' sound with his lead guitar work. During his 5yr stint with the band, Adam played numerous shows and recorded a full-length album "Sand In The Sun" (listen) with the band. The song "Rebel Force Radio" became a satellite radio success and was in heavy rotation on Ch 165 (SiriusXM). The song was also used in the documentary When The Galaxy Listens which is about the Star Wars podcast called Rebel Force Radio. The song and more specifically, Adam's guitar work, got some high praise in the Exclaim! review of Sand in the Sun below is an excerpt from that review:
